Supervisory system and connections
The supervisory system we offer is designed to ensure operational availability, extend service intervals and facilitate predictive maintenance. Offshore locations are organised into five strategic zones, each with its own connection and monitoring specifications.
Zone 1 covers the offshore davit-crane sites, where each unit connects to the networks via a standard RJ45 port, with additional options available upon request. In Zone 2, offshore locations connect to the substation via isolated fibre optics provided by the client.
Offshore connection infrastructure
Zone 3 includes the substation HMI and server level, where INDUSTRIAS FERRI supplies both the HMI and the server, enabling control and supervision of the units from this interface. Zone 4 refers to the substation-to-shore network connection, also facilitated by the client via fibre optics, with the option of internet access. If internet connectivity is selected, INDUSTRIAS FERRI provides a secure VPN device.
Finally, Zone 5 comprises the onshore control room, where the HMI and client level are supplied by INDUSTRIAS FERRI, enabling remote control and supervision of the units.
Remote automatic control
We offer a remote automatic control system that further optimises the operation of davit cranes from the onshore control room. This automated procedure allows the crane movements to be monitored and activated in a fail-safe manner prior to the arrival of technicians, constituting a monthly maintenance routine that increases equipment availability.
Implementation requires the installation of an IP camera on the tower, providing an overview of the crane, as well as enhanced software automation. This camera can also be controlled remotely from the onshore control room, affording additional versatility in its use.
